Amethyst with Artisan-made Pendant

It takes an artist to transform a plain slice of magnesite into a thing of singular beauty. I know purple dye was involved, but how the multicolor effect was created, I haven't the foggiest. I'm just happy I spotted it and claimed it for one special customer. 

The pendant may be worn with the patterned side out or the more solid purple side to the front. It's hung between double strands of textured gunmetal chain, yummy deep purple amethyst nuggets, and vintage, flat, turquoise-green, beads from Japan.
